'Dr A Hally/Halley, son of Alexander Hally of Madeira & Eliza nee Hazeal, married Emily Jane Harland. At medical school he added an e to the spelling of the name Hally and met fellow student William Aurelius Harland - whose younger brother became Sir Edward Harland, ship building founder of Harland and Wolff, and who was the brother of Emily Jane'.
