Biographical history

At a committee meeting in 1929 it was decided that the club should form a library and appoint an officer to take charge of it. Eric Maxwell was appointed and continued as librarian until 1970. The library opened in 1929 with a mere 4 books, which had increased to 22 by the end of the year. The librarian was also responsible for the lantern slide collection.
