Asks for confirmation of whether Bishop Millar will attend the forthcoming consecration (of Robert Ouchterlony and James Rose) and expresses support for his decision, whether favourable or not. "After what I wrote to you... of my firm resolution against any more consecrations of this time you cannot but be surprised to hear that I have consented to go into contrary measures so soon".

Reminds them of the decision of an earlier meeting of the Brethren to declare the decree of suspension against Mr Mabane null and void. Expresses concern over possible divisions among the clergy caused by Bishop Freebairn's pursuit of the matter using unprocedural means.
