Collection of transparencies of trees, flowers and shrubs

Taken by Dr H.W. Torrance and Sister [Augusta] Steller between 1962 and 1976 though some undated slides may be earlier. Flower specimens come from the Eastern Mediterranean region and from the U.K. A few commercially produced slides are by Hi Fi Colour Slides, Israel Colour Slides and Matson Photo Service. [147]

Including Capernaum, Galilee, Haifa, Hama, Jaffa, Mouaddamiye, Nazareth, Jerusalem, Jebel el Druze, Samach, Tiberias and Wady-el-Haman and in India including Agra, Campore and Delhi. Pictures show aeroplanes, customs, Jewish immigration and Tiberias hospital. Most photographs were taken by Dr H.W. Torrance but some are by G. Eric Matson, Fritz Grossman and J. Gliksmann. Identified individuals include Mr Abdullah, Sister Zareefeh [Saluba], Rev. G. Sloan and Dr Herbert Watt Torrance. [137]. [Numbers 154-177] MS38/1/4/90 -MS38/1/4/113 show scenes of severe damage following flooding in Tiberias in 1934 and 1938. Some photographs are undated, but also show flood damage.

Views are of Acre, Alexandria, Beit abu Shamnel abu Hannah, Bethsaida, Cairo, Gennesaret, Horns of Hattin, Lake Galilee, Nazareth, Plain of Gennesaret, Safed, Sammach and Tiberias taken between 1880 and 1920. Photographers include Bonfils R. Grossman and Co. Tiberias, Heinrich Friedman, Cairo, Lago and Citt226 (Terra Sa) and possibly Dr David Watt Torrance. Identified individuals include Mr Colman, Miss Johnstone, Mr Lunn, Mr Miller, Rev Taylor, Master Taylor, Dr David W. Torrance. [40].
