J.A. Grant-Robinson

Books John Alexander Grant Robinson owned including his signature and notes tucked inside of many of them. The books contain information about Gaelic hymns, Peter Grant and religious life, 1876 - 1928. Handwritten notebooks with direct translations of Peter Grant's hymns. Journals and pamphlets about religious life, 1903 - 1956. Extensive notes written by J.A Grant Robinson on the back of letters, scrap paper and in notebooks about Gaelic translations, hymns, religious and family life and Peter Grant. Drafts of J.A Grant Robinsons book on Peter Grant 1918 - 1939. Letters about this book as well as letters about religious and family life, 1917 - 1966.

Photograph albums

Photograph albums mainly connected with industrial machinery and factories operated by Douglas Fraser & Sons Ltd. and, later, Giddings & Lewis-Fraser Ltd. This includes the works in Arbroath, as well as factories abroad such as in India and Argentina. Also many albums of photographs taken by Janet and John Fraser of family and local pictures including houses and landscapes.
