Designs to marry "L[ady]" M.S. daughter of the Earl of Galloway, but entreats secrecy; is sorry that "my friend" Montrose should continue on the Whig "lieg", mentions friendship between Montrose and "a friend of yours"; rejoices at the peace; does not doubt that Lord Winchelsea "returns his integrity"; rejoices to think "our numbers are daily increasing".
