Album of photographs taken during James Blackburn Wilson's period of service with the French Red Cross, Section Sanitaire Anglaise No.2

Photographs are mainly of living and working conditions, medical and military equipment and personnel; also some photographs of towns and surrounding countryside showing shell damaged areas, with a few photographs of Verdun. See also MS 82/6/3 for loose material originally with this album. Also includes following items: (397) Letter, 7 April 1917, from "Le Lieutenant Commandant la SS Anglaise 2" to James Blackburn Wilson on the Occasion of Wilson's departure to join the British Army. (398) Copy of Order 31, of the 30th division of the French Infantry, announcing that SSA2 is leaving the division after a period of attachment from July 1916 - January 1917, 18 January 1917.
