(1857-1928). Eldest child of James Farquhar White and Elizabeth Grundy. Liberal MP for Forfarshire 1895. Lived at Balruddery, Longforgan and 1 Cumberland Place, London NW. Married first - Mary MacRae in 1898 (divorced 1912) and had two children, Oliver Martin White and Joan Mary who married Basil Gerritsen Ivory. Married second - Alice Priscilla Frost (née Leigh) in 1913.
