Bound speakers book in case. This was commissioned by the Council of the Society to commemorate Joan Auld, a long term member of the Society and its President 1993-1995. She died in a climbing accident in North America shortly after her term in office ended (and shortly before she was scheduled to present a paper to the Society). It was intended that this would be used to record details of speakers and included a list of officer bearers. It was however never used for either purpose. It is covered in chieftain goatskin and its inside pages are W.T. goatskin parchment archive paper, guaranteed to last 500 years. It is believed to have cost £350-£400. Stored in safe
