Letters between A.D. Peacock and various correspondents

Cameron, Clova; the Central Land Board, Edinburgh; the Department of Health for Scotland; K.J. Gibson; Mr A. MacDonald; Braedownie; The Ministry of Works, Edinburgh; St. Andrews University Training Corps. (T.A.); Robert B.K. Stevenson. Also includes some letters between Dr F. Waterhouse (as acting head of department after Professor Peacock's retiral) and A.W. Blair; Professor J.H. Burnett (Department of Botany, University of St. Andrews); A. MacDonald, Braedownie; T.A. Robbie (Forestry Commission). Subjects include: use of the field hut [Braedownie] by students and others; erection of a Nissan hut at Braedownie in 1949; a copper cross found at Clova Castle and given to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland; and Forestry Commission plantation in the area of the hut. Also includes: several orders and invoices for goods from local suppliers in Clova, such as gas oil; a Kerosene Record Card from the Ministry of Fuel and Power, for the hut at Braedownie, 1948-1950; leaflets on the Elsan closet and Valour Quick-Boiling Stove; and a leaflet with notes on making an application for planning permission.

This includes; Butterfly Catching in Glen Doll and Glen Clova 1935, some drawings of various participants in the expedition by Colin Gibson at Raasay and also some deer caught in an avalanche 1947. /1/193 - 216 Photographs donated by Sir Patrick Geddes showing the Collège des 201cossais, Montpellier. There are also photos of a tree being planted by Arthur Geddes in his father's honour 22 October 1954; Queens College Dundee.
