First World War postcards

Collection of First World War postcards. Some have writing on the back and include addresses while others are blank. The postcards were collected or sent by Robert Colligan at the end of the First World War. Colligan appears to have arrived in Belgium with the British Army late in 1918, possibly after the armistice. In December his unit crossed over into Germany, presumably as part of the army of occupation.

Linda Bolik nursing papers

A collection of documents compiled during Linda Bolik's tenure as a nurse. Includes management course outlines from Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, booklets from the Scottish NHS staff commission and Eastern Hospital Board. Hints for conducting staff interviews and meetings. Management training for nurses, general training outlines, guides for usage of library materials, Ninewells group news bulletings and written reports on the intergration and reorganisation of the health proffesional practices. Other documents include a certificate of attendance of First line management course, a poem from Marbi with a cipher on the back side and pictures of hospital staff.

Naturalisation confirmation letter

Letter confirming the successful application for naturalisation papers. Includes information about nationaliation under different circumstances such as having a spouse.

Oskar Bolik obituary cut out

Newspaper obituary cut out in regards to Oskar Bolik's death in 1976. Includes some information about his army service and work as Lord Provost's chauffeur

Photographs

Collection of family photos. Some pictures have inscriptions which identify certain members which include Oskar, Walter, Reiner, Ronald, Kenneth and others. Some photographs specify the family relations but exclude names. There is a separate section for photos during the war which include Oskar and Walter along with unspecified solders.

Plan of Dundee

Large plan of Dundee and surrounding area with annotations giving locations and showing later developments. Original plan appears to date c. 1970 with annotations being made later in that decade.
