Collection of programmes from various folk festivals across Scotland and overseas. Some of the material is in Dutch or Danish.

Folk Directories

Collection of directories including the Scottish Folk Directory and material from the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Music Information Centre. Items give details of various societies and folk clubs across Scotland as well as list upcoming events such as ceilidhs and pub sessions.

Magazines and newsletters

Large collection of various scottish music magazines and newsletters. Some of the magazines include: Roots, The Living Tradition and Folk's On! Newsletters include Broadsheet, Broadbeat and The Scottish Folk Diary.

Promotional material

Collection of promotional material including photographs and postcards of various artists including Michael Marra, Dougie MacLean, The Picts and The Dubliners.

A large collection of various items including several vinyl albums, shellac albums, CDs, sheet music and publications. The majority of the items relate to scottish and folk music although other genres of music are included such as classical, swing and pop.

Sheet music

Collection of sheet music of mainly scottish and classical music for various instruments including piano, accordion, violin and voice. Collection includes works written and arranged by various composers such as: Frederic Chopin, Scott Skinner and Jimmy Shand. Titles of the works include: Scottish Dance Album, The Cairngorm Series, Complete Piano Works, Christmas Carols and Hills of Perth. Collection also includes a small newspaper cutting about Neil Gow. Some items in the collection are damaged or incomplete.

Shellac albums

A large collection of shellac albums by various artists including Steve Conway, Will Starr and Jimmy Shand and his band. The albums mostly cover scottish music but also include some swing music.

Vinyl albums

A large collection of records by various artists including the Clancy Brothers, the Dubliners, Dougie MacLean and various pipebands. The majority of the records are of folk and scottish music but the collection includes other genres such as classical music and film soundtracks.
